Cats Are Grey is an art project I started in 2008. For every band/musician I see I draw one picture inspired by the performance. I also post other music related art like fliers/posters I’ve designed.

3 - How do you decide what bands/musicians to draw?

I draw bands and musicians that I like and that I have recently seen perform.

4 - Why is the site called “Cats Are Grey?” It is named after the song “All Cats Are Grey” by The Cure from the album “Faith.” The song is also on the Marie Antoinette Soundtrack and the incredible LateNightTales compilation that Air put together. I thought the line originated from the Jacqueline Susann novel Valley of the Dolls but Wikipedia tells me it goes back as far as Benjamin Franklin. Regardless, I chose the title because a) I like the song and b) I draw cats a lot.
